The Apollo Bariatric Professional Bed is a robust electric nursing bed designed to provide the additional space, strength and support required for bariatric care. Suitable for home care, residential and nursing environments, its 120cm (47.2") wide mattress platform gives larger users greater room while the substantial frame supports a maximum user weight of 350kg (55.1 st).

One of the key advantages of this bariatric bed is its low 27cm (10.6") minimum platform height. Lowering the bed closer to floor level can help reduce the potential consequences of a fall from bed, while electric height adjustment up to 68cm (26.8") allows the platform to be raised for transfers and care procedures.

Full electric profiling allows the user's position to be adjusted for sleeping, resting and receiving care. Auto-contour positioning coordinates the profiling sections to help maintain a comfortable posture and reduce forward sliding, while integrated auto-regression helps minimise pressure on vulnerable areas as the bed changes position. Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg functions provide further positioning options.

Full-length integrated side rails provide additional protection, and the handset can be locked to prevent unwanted operation of the bed's functions. Four individually braked castors provide manoeuvrability when required and secure positioning once the bed is in place. An integral bed extension also allows the sleeping platform to accommodate taller users.
