The Corus Wide Community Profiling Bed is designed to offer enhanced comfort, safety, and support for individuals receiving care at home or in residential settings. With a wider platform for added space and stability, this four-section profiling bed supports a variety of user needs while also helping carers deliver safe and efficient care.

The bed has a height range from 300mm to 700mm, allowing it to be lowered close to the floor to reduce the risk of injury from falls. This low height makes getting in and out of bed safer and more manageable, especially for people with limited mobility. When raised, the bed provides a comfortable working height for carers, reducing strain during personal care routines.

The profiling mattress platform allows independent adjustment at the backrest, knee break, and leg section, supporting therapeutic positioning. This can help relieve pressure, improve breathing and digestion, and encourage better posture and comfort throughout the day. The auto-regression feature helps reduce shear and friction when the backrest is raised, improving skin protection and overall comfort.

The bed’s open-frame design and smooth, powder-coated finish make it easier to clean and maintain, helping meet infection control standards. The rounded head and footboards provide a more open visual field for the user and reduce the enclosed feeling that some beds can create.

The side rails feature a patented locking system with secure, easy-to-operate fittings. They are designed to accommodate mattresses up to 15cm deep, offering protection without restricting movement or comfort. The bed also includes an integral bed extension to suit taller users without the need for extra equipment.

Supplied in four lightweight sections, each under 25kg, the Corus Wide is simple to transport and assemble. Integral storage for transport brackets and individual braking castors make it practical to move and secure in place.
