The INNOV8 Low Bed with High Cantilever Side Rails is designed to support patient safety while delivering full clinical functionality. With an exceptionally low minimum platform height of just 22.5cm, it helps reduce the risk and impact of falls, making it particularly suitable for hospital wards, high dependency environments, and settings where falls prevention is a priority.

Despite its low platform height, the INNOV8 Low functions as a fully featured acute care bed. It offers smooth, electrically operated adjustment of height, backrest, and leg section, allowing carers to position patients safely and efficiently. The bed supports auto contour and auto regression to help improve comfort and reduce shear, as well as Trendelenburg (head down tilt) and Reverse Trendelenburg (foot down tilt) positioning. A cardiac chair position is also included to support seated positioning within the bed.

High cantilever side rails provide added patient security while maintaining accessibility for care procedures. The low height setting can only be controlled via the nurse handset, adding an additional layer of safety. Patient and nurse handsets are supplied, with lockout functionality to ensure appropriate control.

The bed includes battery backup to allow operation during power interruptions, dual-sided CPR functionality for emergency response, and a central locking braking system accessible from both sides. The platform can be extended by 20cm to accommodate taller patients, and the 12cm underbed clearance supports use with hoists.
