The Trekker Gait Trainer provides a safe learning environment for children who do not yet have the ability to use a standard walking frame independently.
It features height adjustable and rotating hand grips which can be mounted in any position on the handlebar.
Ankle prompts with padded straps are also included, helping maintain legs and feet in a position which encourages a natural walking position.
The Trekker Gait Trainer can be used in a front or rear facing position to suit individual needs.
The durable swivelling castors can be locked to prevent the walker moving backwards for maximum safety, and easy spring clips can be used to determine a comfortable stride length.
The Trekker Gait Trainer is ideal for helping children gain confidence and independence in their walking and general mobility skills.
Optional accessories are available to help customise the trainer to individual needs, including the Hip Positioner and Pad, Trunk Support and Thigh Prompts.
Three sizes and colours of the Trekker Gait Trainer are available.
Measure from floor to wrist for the height. Best to wear normal shoes rather than slippers and have arms hanging down by the side of the body.
For example, if it measures 16 inches, then the Small sized trekker would be suitable, as long as the user weight limit is ok.
