The Alerta Partner Alternating Air Pressure Cushion is a pressure-relieving cushion system designed for users at high risk of developing pressure ulcers. It is suitable for use in hospitals, care homes, and home care settings, offering consistent pressure redistribution to help protect skin and tissue over extended periods of sitting.
The cushion combines an alternating air cell system with a sealed 2" foam base, giving both active and constant support. This setup helps improve comfort, circulation, and pressure relief for users who may be seated for long periods or have limited mobility.
Each air cell is independently removable, making the system easier to clean and maintain. The cushion is enclosed in a multi-stretch, waterproof, and vapour-permeable PU cover that helps reduce friction and shear while allowing airflow to the skin. The cover is antimicrobial and machine washable, supporting good hygiene.
A 360° zip makes it easier to remove the cover when needed. The cushion also has a robust pump connection and hanging brackets to secure the pump when in use. The system includes transport mode, allowing the cushion to remain inflated while disconnected from power, helping with short-term repositioning or moving the user.
The digital pump is simple to set up, allowing care staff to adjust pressure levels to suit each user’s needs. It also features visual and audible alarms to alert for low pressure or power loss, ensuring continued safety and performance.
