The Alerta Sensaflex 200 is a pressure relief cushion designed to help reduce the risk of pressure ulcers for individuals who spend long periods sitting. It is suitable for a wide range of settings, including hospitals, care homes, and use at home by individuals managing their own care.
Made from castellated foam, the cushion is cut into small individual sections that move independently to help distribute weight evenly. This reduces pressure on key areas of the body such as the hips and lower back, improving comfort and supporting skin health. The castellated design also allows better air flow, which helps keep the skin cool and dry.
The cushion includes a multi-stretch PU cover that moves with the user to minimise friction and shear. The cover is vapour permeable, helping to manage heat and moisture, and is water-resistant to protect against spills. For added hygiene, the cover is antimicrobial, machine washable, and features a white underside to help identify any soiling quickly.
