The Apollo Memo-Pad Plus Cushion has been developed to provide exceptional pressure redistribution for users at very high risk of pressure damage. Combining a three-layer foam construction with temperature-sensitive visco-elastic foam, it delivers outstanding comfort and support while helping to protect vulnerable areas during prolonged periods of sitting.
The layered foam design balances stability with immersion, allowing the visco-elastic foam to respond to body heat and gently mould to the user's shape. By increasing the contact area between the user and the cushion, pressure is distributed more evenly, reducing concentrated loading on vulnerable areas and promoting greater seating comfort.
For users requiring additional protection, the cushion is available with an optional coccyx cut-out, helping to relieve pressure around the tailbone and making it particularly suitable for individuals with existing pressure damage or those at increased risk of developing pressure ulcers.
A waterproof, vapour-permeable multi-stretch cover allows the cushion to conform naturally with body movement while supporting skin integrity. High-frequency welded seams and a concealed zip help minimise fluid ingress, while the removable cover is easy to clean, making the cushion well suited to home care, residential care and healthcare environments.
