The Standard Alternating Pressure Cushion uses a system of air cells that inflate and deflate in sequence to change pressure points while seated. This helps reduce continuous pressure build-up and supports skin integrity during extended periods of sitting.
A foam base layer provides underlying stability and support, ensuring the user remains cushioned even if the air system is not active. The cushion is supplied with a pump, which must remain connected during use to maintain the alternating function.
The cover is vapour-permeable and stretchable, helping to improve comfort while supporting moisture management. It can be removed for cleaning, making it suitable for regular use in care environments.
