The Amplicomms BigTel 1583 Phone provides three cordless handsets that can be positioned in different rooms, making it easier to answer or make calls without having to reach a single telephone. Only the main base requires a telephone connection; the two additional handsets connect wirelessly and simply need access to a power point.

Designed with accessibility in mind, the BigTel 1583 is particularly useful for people with hearing or sight difficulties. Call volume can be boosted by up to 35dB using a dedicated button, while the ringer reaches up to 90dB to make incoming calls easier to hear. A visual call indicator offers an additional alert, and hearing aid compatibility helps provide clearer conversations for hearing aid users.

The handsets feature large ergonomic keys and a clear backlit display, making dialling and navigating the phone more manageable for users with reduced vision or dexterity. Three memory keys can be programmed with important contacts for quicker calling, while hands-free operation provides a convenient alternative for anyone who finds holding a handset uncomfortable or difficult.

For greater control over incoming calls, up to 100 unwanted numbers can be blocked using the call blocking function. An integrated answering machine records messages when nobody is available to answer, and the phonebook can store up to 50 names and numbers for regularly used contacts.
