The FireAngel Five Year Optical Smoke Alarm is a battery powered alarm designed to help provide early warning in the event of a fire. Using optical sensing technology, the alarm detects smoke as it enters the chamber, making it particularly effective at identifying slow burning or smouldering fires that produce dense smoke.

The alarm is powered by two replaceable AA alkaline batteries, providing up to five years of battery life under normal use. A low battery warning alerts the user when replacement batteries are required, and the Sleep Easy feature allows the warning signal to be silenced temporarily for up to eight hours to give time to replace the batteries.

A quiet test function allows the alarm to be tested without producing the full alarm volume, helping reduce disturbance during routine checks. The unit produces a loud 85dB alarm at 3 metres to help ensure occupants are alerted quickly if smoke is detected.

The alarm can be installed on either a wall or ceiling and is suitable for use in areas such as hallways, landings, living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms. It is certified to recognised safety standards and is suitable for use in leisure accommodation vehicles as well as domestic environments.
