    I bought the ‘bed-chair’ for my elderly father-in-law. He unfortunately spends a lot of time in bed or sitting on the sofa (he is dependent on care so cannot always choose what time he gets up or goes to bed!). At the moment I would score it 5/5 as he is using it without problems. It has proved most useful while he is in sat on the 3 seater sofa. It helps to support him and stops him slipping off his special pressure-relieving cushion. It also means they don’t have to change furniture just yet.

    I would rate essential aids and the bed arm chair itself five out of five. I had found similar items online for three times the price. The seat itself was an excellent support. I was concerned that the arms might not stay in place and push apart but they remained firmly in place. I would recommend both the bed arm chair and essential aids most highly to anyone looking for assistance equipment for the home.
