The Vendlet V5S+ Bariatric Patient Turning System is designed to make the care of bariatric patients both safe and dignified. With a safe working load of 400kg (63 st), this powered system allows healthcare workers to turn patients in bed with the simple press of a button, eliminating the need for any heavy lifting or strain. By using the Vendlet V5S+ system, patients no longer feel like a burden, and staff can reposition them without risking their own health and safety. The system allows for a variety of movements, including turning the patient from a supine to a lateral position, moving them sideways or further into the bed, and even turning them to a prone position. The Vendlet V5S+ offers adjustable speed settings to cater to the needs of both the patient and the healthcare worker. With options for normal, medium, or slow speeds, the system provides ample time for gentle repositioning, ensuring comfort and safety. The system operates with two motorised bars mounted on each side of the bed, controlled by a hand-held device. To turn a patient, simply raise one bar and tighten the sheet, allowing for a smooth and controlled movement.
When the bars are left raised, the Vendlet V5S+ functions as a built-in bed rail, tested and approved by an independent test institute (TÜV). Whether to leave the bed rail up or down is determined by a clinical evaluation of the patient's needs.
