Product Details

The Argyll D8 Alternating Pressure Mattress is designed to support individuals at very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. It is suitable for use in long-term care, home care, and other clinical environments where reliable pressure area care is required.

The system uses 20 alternating air cells that operate in a 1-in-2 cycle, helping to relieve and redistribute pressure across the body. Each cell is made from durable nylon PU and inflates to a height of 20 cm, providing consistent support and comfort for users up to 180 kg.

A semi-automatic digital control unit allows caregivers to select from Alternating, Constant Low Pressure (CLP), and Max Inflate modes. The controls are simple and intuitive, making the system easy to operate—even by non-clinical caregivers—while maintaining effective therapy.

The internal cell pressure ranges from 10 to 52 mmHg, adjusted automatically to suit the user’s needs. In the event of an emergency, a CPR pull cord quickly deflates the mattress for rapid response.

The mattress is topped with a polyurethane cover that is multi-stretch, vapour-permeable, and water-resistant, helping to protect skin integrity and support infection control. The cover is easy to clean and features high-frequency welded seams to help prevent fluid ingress.

A transport mode allows the mattress to remain inflated for a short time without power, supporting safe movement or repositioning. The system also includes an audible low-pressure alarm with a mute function for added safety.

With its balance of clinical performance and ease of use, the Argyll D8 offers practical, reliable pressure care for patients with complex needs.
