The Diamond Active Mattress Replacement System is a highly advanced pressure-relieving solution designed for individuals assessed as being at high to very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. It combines effective clinical support with practical design features that benefit both the user and carer.

At the heart of the system is stacked cell technology, consisting of 58 air cells arranged in two independent layers. The lower layer provides a stable, continuous base of support, while the upper layer delivers alternating pressure relief. This design helps to evenly distribute the user's weight and relieve pressure from vulnerable areas such as the heels, hips, and sacrum. The alternating pressure cycle operates on a “1 in 2” pattern every 10 minutes, and can be adjusted to 15, 20, or 25 minutes depending on individual care needs.

A key feature of the mattress is its 12.5cm low profile, which enables compatibility with standard profiling beds without requiring side rail height extensions—helping to meet IEC 60601-2-52 compliance. Despite its compact design, the mattress delivers pressure relief performance that compares favourably to much deeper systems, making it a safe and space-efficient choice.

The quiet digital pump has been designed with user-friendly controls, including 10 comfort levels, therapy mode options, visual alarms, and an automatic panel lock to prevent accidental setting changes. Auto Firm mode assists carers during repositioning and transfers, while Timed Out Static Mode allows the mattress to remain static for short durations before resuming alternating therapy automatically.

Five static cells are integrated at the top of the mattress to serve as a built-in pillow, improving comfort for the upper body without compromising pressure redistribution elsewhere.

In the event of an emergency, the CPR system features a “Turn and Click” hose connector and high-visibility pull tag, enabling fast deflation when needed. The zip-off PU cover is waterproof, vapour-permeable, and machine washable, supporting infection control protocols and extending the product’s usable life. A non-slip base adds durability and keeps the mattress securely in place during use.
