The Dormir Plus Alternating Air Mattress System is designed to provide high-quality pressure area care for individuals at medium to high risk of developing pressure ulcers. Combining advanced alternating air technology with a user-friendly design, it offers both comfort and clinical effectiveness for use in community and residential care settings.

The mattress features 29 slim-profile air cells, arranged in a 1-in-2 alternating cycle to reduce prolonged pressure on vulnerable areas of the body. These cells are narrower and more compact than those found in standard mattresses, which helps minimise surface movement and reduces the risk of motion-related discomfort or nausea—making it easier for users to relax or sleep soundly.

Underneath the air cells is a 3cm viscoelastic foam base layer, providing extra stability and comfort, especially during transfers or repositioning. This combination of air and foam helps evenly distribute body weight, reduces shear and friction, and supports effective immersion for the user.

At just 15cm deep, the Dormir Plus mattress has a patented low-profile design that ensures full compliance with IEC 60601-2-52 safety standards—without requiring side rail height extensions. This makes it particularly suitable for use on profiling beds in community or residential settings where space and safety are priorities.

The system is operated via a whisper-quiet digital pump that’s easy to set up and simple to use. It features multiple therapy modes, a 10-stage comfort setting, visible alarm indicators, and a mute function. The CLP (constant low pressure) mode automatically adjusts air pressure in response to user movement, maintaining an optimal support level throughout the day and night without the need for manual changes.

For hygiene and infection control, the Dormir Plus comes with a removable “zip-off” PU top cover, which is vapour permeable, waterproof, and two-way stretch. This not only protects the mattress but also enhances comfort by allowing airflow and reducing moisture build-up. The base of the mattress is non-slip and sealed, providing extra durability and easier cleaning.

Weighing just 9kg, the mattress is lightweight and easy to handle, yet it accommodates users from 30kg to 150kg, making it versatile for a range of care needs.
