The Solacium 1 Pressure Relief Mattress is a premium dynamic mattress designed for individuals at very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. Its 29 dual figure-of-eight cells provide continuous alternating therapy, with the top half of each cell alternating while the bottom half stays inflated at all times. This innovative configuration ensures effective pressure redistribution while maintaining stability and comfort, often helping users achieve more restful sleep.

A removable foam base offers additional comfort and serves as a static support surface in the unlikely event of a full deflation. The system is powered by a Solacium pump with automatic weight adjustment and three simple comfort settings, pre-set to medium with a 10-minute cycle.

For added reassurance, the pump features a built-in lithium-ion battery that provides up to 8 hours of backup power during outages, and can also be used for quick initial inflation in as little as 8 minutes.

Designed with patient comfort and carer practicality in mind, the Solacium 1 includes a Fowler mode for sitting positions, and a multi-stretch waterproof cover with welded seams to reduce shear, friction, and fluid ingress. The cover is vapour permeable, wipe-clean, and machine washable at 90°C, with double-sided zip flaps for maximum infection control.
