The Alerta Gel Cushion is designed to provide reliable pressure relief and comfort for users who are at risk of developing pressure ulcers. Suitable for use in hospital, care home, or home settings, it supports individuals who spend long periods seated by helping to protect the skin and reduce discomfort.

At the core of the cushion is polyurethane SensaGel, which mimics the qualities of natural body fat to distribute pressure evenly and support vulnerable areas. The gel layer is engineered to resist hardening, leaking, or drying out, even if the cushion is accidentally punctured, ensuring consistent performance over time.

The gel surface is also capable of lateral movement, helping to reduce shear forces that can contribute to skin breakdown—particularly useful for individuals who shift or are repositioned frequently.

The PU cover is vapour permeable, waterproof, and fire-resistant (M1 classified). It can be machine washed at up to 90°C, while the cushion itself can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, supporting easy hygiene management.
