The Alerta Partner Plus Alternating Air Pressure Cushion is a pressure-relieving cushion designed for people who are at very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. It’s suitable for use in hospitals, care homes, or at home.

The cushion uses an alternating air system combined with a sealed 2" foam base. This helps reduce pressure on vulnerable areas of the body, which is important for people who spend long periods sitting and may have limited movement.

The system is easy to set up and adjust, with simple digital controls that allow carers to set the correct pressure level for each user. This ensures the cushion is working effectively without being difficult to operate.

Each air cell is coated with nylon TPU and can be removed individually, making the system easier to clean and maintain. The cover is made from multi-stretch PU, which helps reduce friction and allows for better airflow to the skin. It is also water resistant, vapour permeable, antimicrobial, and machine washable, which supports good hygiene and comfort.

A 360° zip makes it easier to access the inside of the cushion when needed. The pump includes a secure connection and hanging brackets for convenience. Transport mode keeps the cushion inflated for short periods when it’s disconnected from power—for example, during repositioning or transfers.

Visual and audible alarms are built in to alert carers to any issues, such as low pressure or power failure.
