Designed for individuals at very high risk of developing pressure ulcers, the Alerta Sensaflex 300 is a high-specification pressure relief cushion that combines multiple foam layers to provide effective pressure redistribution and user comfort. Suitable for use in hospitals, nursing homes, or at home, it offers reliable support for those who spend long periods seated.
The cushion features a high-density foam base for postural stability, a firm foam centre for core support, and a castellated gel memory foam top layer that contours to the user's shape. This combination helps reduce pressure on vulnerable areas, such as the sacrum and hips, while maintaining a supportive sitting surface throughout the day.
It is encased in a multi-stretch, vapour-permeable PU cover that helps reduce friction and allows moisture to evaporate, keeping the skin dry and cool. The cover is also water-resistant to protect the foam from spills or incontinence, and antimicrobial to support infection control. It can be machine washed, and the white underside allows for easy inspection of cleanliness.
