The Dyna-Tek Posture Visco Pressure Cushion combines pressure care with additional postural support for people who spend extended periods sitting. Developed primarily for wheelchair use, it is also suitable for chairs in homecare and ward environments and is intended for users considered to be at High Risk of pressure ulcer development.
Rather than using a flat seating surface, the cushion features a shaped ischial tuberosity well. This helps position and stabilise the pelvis within the cushion, encouraging a more supported sitting posture while concentrating pressure redistribution around vulnerable areas.
A medium-grade viscoelastic foam surface conforms to the seated body to spread pressure and provide comfortable support. Underneath, a denser CME foam base helps prevent bottoming out and creates a more stable foundation when transferring on or off the cushion. It accommodates users weighing up to 178kg (28 st).
The multi-stretch, vapour-permeable cover helps manage moisture while reducing friction and shear against the skin. It contains an anti-fungal agent, can be laundered at up to 80°C and is compatible with diluted hypochlorite solution. A non-slip base is also available to provide additional stability on the chair.
