The Transflo Pressure Relief Cushion is designed to help prevent and manage pressure ulcers in users considered to be at very high risk of skin breakdown. Combining high-density foam with a unique silicone gel system, it provides effective pressure redistribution while offering stable and comfortable seating.

At the centre of the cushion are two fluid-filled gel compartments that move and adapt to the user's shape and sitting position. This allows pressure to be spread over a larger surface area, helping to reduce pressure on vulnerable areas during prolonged periods of sitting.

The gel system is surrounded by supportive high-density foam, which helps prevent bottoming out while providing a stable seating surface. The cushion is also designed to encourage a neutral pelvic position, supporting a comfortable posture throughout the day. The cooling properties of the gel may help reduce skin surface temperature, providing additional comfort for some users.

The multi-stretch, vapour-permeable cover helps reduce shear and friction against the skin while supporting infection control procedures. Treated with an anti-fungal agent, the cover is removable, compatible with diluted hypochlorite cleaning solutions and can be laundered at temperatures up to 95°C.
