This width adjustable mattress elevator with side guards is designed for use at home where comfortable positioning in bed is needed without replacing the bed frame. It fits neatly beneath the mattress and allows the upper body to be raised or lowered smoothly using a simple hand controller, helping users sit up or recline with minimal effort and greater independence.
The smooth, quiet lifting action supports comfortable resting, reading or eating in bed, while also making it easier to move between lying and seated positions. By reducing the physical effort needed to sit up, it can also help lower the risk associated with manual handling for carers. The drive mechanism is positioned so it cannot be felt through the mattress, even when fully reclined, ensuring comfort is not compromised at any angle.
Width adjustment is straightforward using a safety pin clip system, allowing the mattress elevator to be used with single, double, king and queen size beds. Colour-coded fixing straps secure the unit firmly to both the mattress and the bed base, keeping it stable during use. The compact transformer operates quietly and can be tucked away discreetly out of sight.
This version includes integrated side guards, designed to reduce the risk of children or pets becoming trapped beneath the mattress while the elevator is in use. A version without side guards is also available for environments where they are not required.
