The Aurora Pressure Relief Seating System is designed to provide reliable, comfortable pressure relief for users who spend extended periods sitting, particularly in care home or residential settings. Sized to fit most standard armchairs, this compact system brings clinical-grade pressure area care to everyday seating.
The cushion features eight low-profile transverse air cells that alternate in a “1 in 2” cycle every 10 minutes. This movement helps relieve pressure and support circulation, reducing the risk of pressure ulcers developing in high-risk users. Micro-ventilated cells also offer Micro Low Air Loss, allowing heat and moisture to dissipate more easily from the skin's surface, helping to maintain a healthy microclimate and reduce the risk of skin breakdown.
The Aurora cushion uses TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) cells that are softer, quieter, and more durable than standard PVC versions. This improves overall comfort and seated stability while maintaining therapeutic performance.
The removable PU top cover is breathable, waterproof, and easy to clean, supporting infection control practices. Its white inner layer helps identify any fluid ingress during routine inspection. A non-slip base and secure strap keep the cushion safely in place during use.
A whisper-quiet pump provides 8 adjustable comfort settings to suit individual needs and offers both visual and audible alerts for low pressure or power failure. The pump’s universal fittings also allow the Aurora cushion to integrate with compatible mattress systems for seamless 24-hour pressure care, making it a cost-effective solution for long-term care.
