The Dyna-Tek Owl Pressure Cushion combines pressure redistribution with postural support for users considered to be at high risk of pressure ulcer development. Designed predominantly for wheelchair use, its distinctive contoured surface helps position and support the pelvis while providing comfortable pressure care during prolonged periods of sitting.

The unique Owl-shaped profile creates defined areas to accommodate the ischial tuberosities, helping stabilise the pelvis and manage positioning where pelvic tilt may be a consideration. This contoured shape also distributes pressure across the seated surface rather than concentrating it around prominent areas.

A profiled CME foam construction provides a supportive base while helping reduce the likelihood of bottoming out. As well as supporting pressure redistribution, the foam provides a stable surface that can assist during transfers on and off the cushion. Although particularly suited to wheelchairs, the Dyna-Tek Owl can also be used on appropriate seating in ward, care and home environments.

The cushion is protected by a multi-stretch, vapour-permeable cover that helps minimise shear and friction while allowing moisture vapour to escape. The fabric is impregnated with an anti-fungal agent and can be laundered at temperatures up to 80°C. It is also compatible with a 1,000ppm diluted or 0.1% hypochlorite solution when used in accordance with local infection control procedures.

A non-slip base helps keep the cushion more securely positioned on the supporting seat.
