The Korat Pressure Relief Cushion is designed for users assessed as being at very high risk of pressure damage. It combines comfort-focused design with effective pressure redistribution, making it suitable for use in hospitals, homecare environments, and nursing or residential settings.
The visco elastic foam surface softens with body heat and weight, allowing the user to immerse comfortably into the cushion. This helps reduce peak pressure points while maintaining comfort, which can be important in avoiding user rejection. Beneath this, a high-density foam base provides firm support and helps prevent bottoming out, ensuring consistent performance throughout use.
The cushion is supplied with a multi-stretch, vapour permeable cover that supports infection control while remaining comfortable against the skin. Welded, non-penetrable seams help prevent fluid ingress and make the cushion easier to clean. A non-slip base helps keep the cushion securely positioned on the chair, supporting user safety during daily use. The Korat cushion is clinically trialled and designed to meet the demands of high-risk pressure care.
