Product Details

The Argyll Hybrid Airflow Mattress is a high-specification pressure care solution designed for individuals at high to very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. By combining reactive foam support with dynamic alternating air therapy in one mattress, it allows care teams to adapt quickly to changing clinical needs without the disruption or cost of replacing equipment. This makes it particularly well suited to hospitals, care homes and home care environments where flexibility and continuity of care are essential.

In static mode, the foam-filled air cells provide stable, even pressure redistribution, making the mattress suitable for patients who require reliable support without active alternation. When increased pressure relief is needed, the digital control unit can be connected in seconds to activate alternating pressure therapy. This seamless transition helps reduce manual handling, minimise downtime and ensure consistent patient comfort throughout the care pathway.

The mattress includes a visco-elastic foam leg section that helps offload pressure from the heels by redistributing weight towards the calf, an area commonly associated with pressure damage. CME foam side walls and a supportive base improve edge stability, helping patients feel secure during repositioning and transfers.

A semi-automatic digital control unit offers alternating and constant low pressure modes, with air cells automatically adjusting to the user’s needs. Audible and visual alerts warn of low pressure or power loss, with a mute function available to maintain a calm care environment. The multi-stretch polyurethane cover is vapour-permeable, water-resistant and easy to clean, supporting skin integrity and infection control, while welded seams help prevent fluid ingress.
