The cavity of these Ornamin keep warm dishes can be filled with hot water to keep food warm for longer - or, conversely, with cold water or crushed ice to cool cold food. The double base allows soup and mashed potatoes to stay warm for those of us who need to take their time to eat.
The non-slip grip cushions ensure that the keep warm plate sits securely in the hand when being carried. There is also a non-slip ring under the plate that prevents the plate from sliding on the table.
As the plate does not need to be held, both hands are free for eating and it is also possible to eat with one hand if only one hand can be used due to an impairment.
