The Malvern Perching Stool provides a convenient place to rest while carrying out activities that would otherwise require prolonged standing. It can be particularly helpful for elderly or disabled users, or anyone with reduced mobility, balance or stamina who finds standing for longer periods tiring or uncomfortable.

Its padded vinyl seat slopes gently forwards, helping the user adopt a supported perching position while also making it easier to sit down and rise again. The height can be adjusted to suit the individual, allowing a comfortable position to be found for different tasks and users.

Suitable for use in a variety of areas around the home, the Malvern can provide support at a kitchen worktop while preparing food, at the sink when washing up or in the bathroom while washing and grooming. The frame is designed to prevent water from entering the leg tubes, meaning the stool can also be used as a shower stool where appropriate.

Angled, widely spaced legs create a stable footprint, while large rubber feet provide additional grip and help distribute the load when the stool is used on a shower surface. The combination of a lightweight frame, comfortable seat and adjustable height makes the Malvern a versatile option for users who need additional support with everyday activities.

    Strong chair - Safe sitting

    My husband has parkinsons and was advised to get a perching chair because his balance wasn't great. I was apprehensive when I heard the word perching but when searching online I realised a perching chair has arms as well. The chair is a boon to both my husband and myself as he is able to be more independent and I don't have to worry about him falling. The chair legs are adjustable for height and the chair itself is strong and well made. Good value, not only monetary, but indepence for one and peace of mind for the other!

    I was pleased to receive my soft seat malvern perching stool. it’s much better built than my old one. Really solid item that arrived quite quickly, and it required only a little assembly, which I was pleased about. excellent value for money. the only criticism I have it that I wish the seat foam could have been firmer. It’s too soft and just squashes flat after a few minutes sitting. so it like sitting on a hard wooden seat. but stability and overall weight are perfect. it really helps me keep my independence in the kitchen.
