Built around intelligent pressure management and everyday comfort, the Alerta Ruby Auto Airflow Mattress is a full replacement alternating pressure mattress designed for users with complex pressure care needs. Its advanced airflow system automatically responds to changes in weight and position, helping deliver consistent pressure redistribution without the need for manual adjustment.

The mattress features a cell on cell airflow structure with a total in-use depth of 20cm, creating a supportive and immersive surface for prolonged bed use. Deep alternating air cells work continuously to relieve pressure across vulnerable areas, while the underlying structure provides reassurance and stability during repositioning or care routines. This combination supports both effective pressure management and safe day to day handling.

Automatic performance is driven by the integrated auto weight sensing pump, which continuously adjusts interface pressures based on the user’s weight. Working alongside SensaCare Truflo Technology®, the system uses constant pressure sensing via an air sensor and microcomputer regulator to maintain ultra low interface pressure. This helps support circulation, reduce pressure build-up and encourage more natural sleep patterns. Ultra Silent™ pump operation ensures minimal background noise, promoting rest and recovery.

Targeted pressure relief is further enhanced through a dedicated heel function, with three heel cells fitted with one way valves. These heel cells can be removed when required to create effective offloading beneath the heels. Additional comfort and usability features include micro perforated airflow cells, a pillow function for head support, and independently removable nylon TPU coated cells to simplify maintenance. A remote control allows easy adjustment by carers, while a CPR release enables rapid deflation in emergency situations.

The mattress is finished with a multi stretch PU cover that is water resistant and vapour permeable, helping manage moisture while maintaining comfort. The cover is antimicrobial, machine washable and fitted with a 360 degree zip for straightforward removal. Anchoring straps help keep the mattress securely positioned, and practical features such as transport mode, hanging brackets and mains cable management support organised, reliable use in demanding care environments.
