The Diamond Active Airflow Mattress is an advanced replacement airflow mattress designed to deliver effective airflow-based pressure relief for people assessed as being at high to very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. Its low-profile design makes it particularly well suited to use on standard profiling beds, where maintaining safe side rail heights is essential, without compromising on pressure redistribution or comfort.

At the core of the Diamond Active Airflow Mattress is stacked cell technology, using 58 air cells arranged across two independent layers. The lower layer remains static to provide a stable, supportive base, while the upper layer alternates to relieve pressure across key risk areas such as the heels, hips and sacrum. This airflow system helps reduce prolonged pressure while still allowing the user to feel secure and well supported during rest, repositioning and transfers.

The mattress operates on a 1-in-2 alternating cycle, with selectable cycle times to suit individual care needs. A quiet digital pump allows carers to fine-tune comfort levels, switch between therapy modes and activate a firm surface when assistance or repositioning is required. A timed static mode is also available, automatically returning to alternating therapy after a short period to maintain effective pressure care.

Comfort is further enhanced by a built-in static pillow section at the head of the mattress, supporting the upper body without disrupting pressure relief elsewhere. For safety and infection control, the mattress includes a clearly marked CPR release for rapid deflation, along with a removable, waterproof and vapour permeable cover that is easy to clean and suitable for care environments.
