Product Details

The Morpheus Air Airflow Mattress is a versatile airflow mattress designed for individuals at high to very high risk of developing pressure ulcers, including those with existing tissue damage graded 1 to 4. Suitable for use in care homes, nursing environments and community settings, it provides effective pressure redistribution while remaining straightforward to operate for both clinical and non-clinical carers.

This mattress can be used in both dynamic alternating mode and static mode, allowing carers to adapt support to the user’s changing needs without replacing equipment. In alternating mode, the mattress uses 10 individual air cells operating on a 1 in 2 cycle to reduce interface pressure and promote gentle capillary stimulation. When switched to static mode, it provides a stable, supportive surface that is particularly useful during patient transfers and handling.

The Morpheus Air system manually adjusts to the user’s body shape and position, helping to deliver consistent comfort and effective pressure care. The supplied pump is quiet, efficient and easy to use, reducing training requirements and minimising disruption for the user.

The mattress is finished with an Extreme Strikethrough Resistant polyurethane cover that is highly resistant to abrasion, chemicals and physical damage. The cover remains multi-stretch, vapour-permeable and waterproof, with high-frequency welded seams to support infection control. It can be wiped clean or removed for machine washing at temperatures up to 95°C, making it well suited to demanding care environments.
